Ideas come to us in many forms from sketches paper napkins to CAD files with concepts already engineered.
Initial Meeting
The initial meeting is a get to know you, your project and for you to get to know I.T.I. Inc. Assessment of your product requirements are a key portion of the meeting. Approximately two hours.
Full Project Review
This meeting is a directional meeting with the end result pointing a direction for your product. In depth discussions about product requirements, pricing, processes, packaging, prototyping and any regulatory requirements are also part of this meeting.
Create Drawings
Engineering takes all the information from the full project review meeting and creates drawings.
Drawing Review
This portion can be done online, in person or over the phone with drawings faxed.
Approved/ Changes Required
Approvals can be faxed, emailed or in person. If changes are required the drawing review and approval process repeats itself.
Prototype
We feel that prototyping is a very important step in product development. It is gets your product in your hand to make sure it is right before the tooling is ordered.
Prototype Review
A thorough review of the prototype is conducted including you using the product in the intended environment with an atypical user.
Approved/ Changes Required
If changes are required the drawing review, possibly another prototype and approval process repeats itself. Approvals can be faxed, emailed or in person.
Patent Drawings
If you are applying for a patent the drawings that are created by I.T.I. Inc. can be made into line drawings for you patent attorney speeding up the application process.
Patent Search
I.T.I. Inc. can assist in the patent search by referring you to a patent attorney, establishing your claims, review patents found that are similar to your patent, and patent attorney interaction.
Mold Building/Tooling
If your product requires a mold or other tooling I.T.I. Inc. works with our vendors to make sure you get a quality tool at a competitive price.
1st Article Pieces
We require 1st article pieces from your tool to verify that the tool was made within specification. This is also another check that the design once molded works as intended.

If changes are required the drawing review, possibly another prototype and approval process repeats itself. Approvals can be faxed, emailed or in person.
Transfer to Manufacturing
At this point all final drawings and quality specifications are transferred to Production.
